Holiday Makeup | Indian Clay Mask

I already know by now that you have heard of the Indian Healing Clay Mask. This puppy has been around for years, hell decades and there's a good reason why. If it ain't broke don't fix it I always say. So the Indian Healing Clay Mask is ridiculously affordable at only $6 - $7 at your local Whole Foods Market.

What are the benefits?

The clay comes from Death Valley, where it is sun-dried for up to six months in temperatures that sometimes reach 134 degrees. Bentonite clay is derived from volcanic ash, and the long list of substances it contains reads like the periodic table of elements: potassium, cesium, ytterbium, and on and on.

With a little bit of Apple Cider Vinegar, this concoction will have your pores vacuumed all the way out, just be careful not to have it on for too long.

My First Wig | Culture Fuzz Conversations

The many adventures of Culture Fuzz has brought us to the streets of Los Angeles, 54th and Los Angeles to be more specific and what brought us there was something that has been nagging at me for the past couple of years now... my first wig. Yep, my vanity. And I decided to take you guys with me.

I really don't know what I was expecting for my first wig shopping experience, I guess my mind washed mind was thinking I would walk into some wig shop owned by a Korean lady who would not let me try anything on. I would have to use my imagination really really hard and determine just by guessing which wig would look best. Well let me tell you my experience was the complete opposite. We ventured over to Beautiful Wig and Hair over on Crenshaw and it was a phenomenal experience. I didn't get the name of the woman who helped my make my wig selection, according to Yelp I believe her name is Erma, but she was so nice and helpful. Most importantly she gave HONEST answers and I felt good about my wig selection. I ended getting a really nice synthetic wig that can take low heat.

Did I mention the selection over there was HUGE?

I'm not sure what everyone's opinions are on wigs but I always thought they were great and so much fun. It's an excellent way to protect your natural hair if you're like me and don't like to take heat to your hair anymore and believe it or not, there are ways to get long thick hair under a wig easily. It's going to take me some practice but I have witnessed that it's absolutely possible.

Kylie Jenner | Concealor Release

On December 13 Kylie Cosmetics will be releasing 30 shades of concealer for her fancier silver line juuuuuust in time for the holidays. It's really great to see all of the well know makeup lines take a page out of Rihanna's book with her Fenty Beauty line and expanding the selection of color for all skin colors. The biggest missing niche in my opinion were color selections for women with much darker skin complexions. Bravo Kylie! I can't wait to see what the bloggers and reviewers will think of the product. Hell, who knows, I might even partake in the review.

Bitcoin | Coinbase

New investment alert! Living in this generation where knowledge is the future I have never before in my life hear such emphasis of making sure to invest your money. Create a portfolio, educate yourself on what your investing and watch it grow. That brings me to the new investment bandwagon, BitCoin. I'm sure all of you know all about it by now but may not know exactly how to invest. That's okay, I'm in the same boat as you, I don't know shit about investing. But again, living in this amazing time of knowledge and information it's easier than ever before to do research and educate yourselves.

The number one piece of advice I'm getting is to purchase "Bitcoin for Dummies" which yah, sure is an excellent series of books that puts into lamen terms how to understanding that originally may have been complicated, but ultimately I say find a reliable and accurate source that resonates with you. There is no wrong way to learn just be careful on where your information comes from.

I also found this online article that super breaks down what BitCoin actually is:

Still Don't Get BitCoin? An Explanation Even A Five Year Old Can Understand

So! That brings me to CoinBase, which is a secure online platform for buying, selling, transferring, and storing digital currency. It's very user friendly and pretty easy to understand given that you are already introduced to BitCoin.

Acorns | Investment App

Again, this is an app made specifically for people like me who don't know the first thing about investing. Another user friendly interface and they have fantastic step by step instructions. You answer a few questions to build your profile, link your bank and credit cards and you're all set. What's really great about this app is that it keeps track of all your transactions and then takes the left over change to invest and spread out into different stock. It's a pretty amazing concept. I just downloaded it like a week a go so I'm still getting used to it but I'm excited to get my feet wet into the investment world.

With the work force changing more and more job benefits like 401k's and retirement plans are no longer being offered to employees, and at the rate things are going with social security it would be foolish to believe that's going a reliable source to depend on once retirement time is reached. Invest. Teach yourself how to invest because the school system isn't going to show you how to do that.

The Seat of The Soul | CF Book Club

This week.... no the past few weeks I have been going through a lot of emotions in regard to what steps I need to take next in life, mainly in the area of my job and career. I have such big dreams beyond the normal 9-5 lifestyle and I'm determined to stay on track in reaching those dreams, which means reading the signs and pursuing the avenues that usually stop people dead in their tracks. Those signs usually pertain to change and forcing you to walk outside of your comfort zone.... gross, the "un-comfort zone". I'm looking for answers and the latest book that I'm devouring is The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav. I'm only halfway through this book but it's already hitting me in multiple ways and making my third eye flutter with excitement, information and that good ol' spiritual development. Focusing on the fact that us mere humans only live in a 5 sensory world that help us to connect with our physical world but we have yet to connect with our multi-sensory senses that are supposed to help us get connected with, you know.... that thing. Your thing, God, Buddha, The Universe, The Source... yah that infinite thing that is beyond our puny little brains but we know is there and feel so strongly every single day. The Seat of the Soul has officially been around for 25 years and when something serves to be that timeless and continues to stay relevant, I would be crazy not to take a look at what has been helping folks get closer to their most purest selves. We are a spiritual entity having a human experience after all, sometimes we just need to remind ourselves of exactly how epic we are. To trust our instincts, that burning feeling in your gut to not walk down that shady alley, or to listen to that screaming voice telling you that it's time to leave your job because it's either an unhealthy environment, you no longer find yourself growing or let's face it... you be bored.

This book is a fantastic read and another fantastic source in flicking open that third eye so we can be that 2017 kind of woke.... even 25 years later.

New Single – “SWANG” by OKIM

OKIM has been a household name in the Inland Empire for the past few years now and there literally is no sign of him slowing down. He has given such a variety of music, not to mention his wardrobe and hair, from alternative, to hip hop, electric, pop and more currently he's been giving off this hip hop - electric - alternative - sound that has been undeniable. Along with his ever evolving sound he is constantly burrowed in the lab working on his visuals so meticulously as to make sure the listener and viewer get the whole experience on what the song is about. He truly is an artist when it comes to his work.

After the March 2017 release of his single "Pardon My Fancy" ft. Tori Stylez he gave us a glimpse on what we could definitely expect from OKIM. Making sure to incorporate contrast and color there wasn't one dull moment for the eye of the viewer. The vibrancy of the music video matched the song in its entirety and everyone here at Culture Fuzz wanted to see what was next to come.

And we didn't have to wait long....

The beginning of this month, August 2017 we got to see another artistic side to OKIM. Not only is his newly released single "Swang" one of the better summer songs released by an independent artist this year, but the video, once again masterfully captures the high quality of the song. So please take a look for yourself and render your own opinion and show him some love if your digging his sound.

Tomorrow’s Midnight – Eugene O’Neil

It has been an extremely long time since we have heard a body of music that was amazing from beginning to end. We come from a time that when an artist made music and invested in an entire album they were actually story telling. Each song was a chapter, each lyric was a story and the music were the pages that helped us get to where the artist was trying to take us. Culture Fuzz had the chance of listening to the newly released album "Tomorrow's Midnight" written, produced and performed by Eugene O'Neil (formally known as O.M.I.N.O.U.$.) and it was nothing short of amazing. It is captivating, melodic, clever and does an amazing job of bringing you into his world of a single night where his journey begins in the studio and ends in the club. With powerful poetry by artist Karla Blaq and skits performed by Eugene in between songs that helped bridge each song to each other, you literally feel like you are right there with him in the studio, walking with him and getting into his car and getting down with him right there in the club at the end of the night.

Eugene O'Neil is mainly known for his skillful and witty bars as a hip hop artist and occasional battle rapper but he really breaks out of his comfort zone with "Tomorrow's Midnight" and finally displays what those vocal chords can really do. The boy be sangin!! With crooner songs like "WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday)" and "Faded" we are so happy he is showing his more vulnerable side (I'm sure the ladies are too) because it creates a softer element and hits a larger audience. Eugene has proven many times that he can really take a pen to paper in an effective way, taking you on metaphoric journeys that will be having you quoting him under you Instagram photos.

This body of work definitely took some time to be created but alas, it was definitely worth every second of waiting. Do yourself a favor and go to one of these links to purchase his album and go on a journey with Eugene O'Neil for just a night.
